The chairs are built from hardwoods. The main timbers used are Sapele, Iroko (African Teak) and Red Grandis (A plantation grown Eucalyptus). Each species renowned for its suitability to outdoor applications. Exterior grade glue (D4 PU glue} is used on all mating surfaces. Exterior grade deck screws are countersunk and then covered with wood plugs that are trimmed flush with the finished surface. This protects the fixings and gives a smooth sleek finish. All plugs are positioned cross grain to make them less likely to split the surrounding wood when they swell and contract with the changing seasons. All plugs are also glued in place and allowed to set before trimming. This allows them to swell and be trimmed before the final finish is achieved.
The whole chair is sanded to 120 grit to ensure a smooth surface prior to painting. Three coats of your chosen paint finish off the chairs.
I mainly use the Cuprinol 'Garden Shades' paint range and Protek 'Royal Exterior Finish' Paint range. However, the chairs can be painted in any exterior grade paint of your choice.
The chairs come fully assembled so you can start to enjoy them as soon as you receive them.
The chairs are personally delivered to ensure the chairs arrive in a perfect condition and undamaged.
